What is a Grant or Donation?

Grants or donations collectively refers to the provision of funds, benefits-in-kind or services, given in response to an unsolicited application, to support healthcare, scientific research or education, with no consequent obligation on the recipient organisation to provide goods or services to the benefit of Nordic Pharma UK in return.

Grants and donations to individuals through this program are prohibited.

In general, donations are physical items, services or benefits-in-kind, while grants are the provision of funds.

What types of Grants or Donations will Nordic Pharma UK consider?

An application can be made to support any project or activity that contributes to enhancing healthcare, scientific research or education

All applications must be made prospectively, Nordic Pharma UK is not able to support any applications made retrospectively.

Applications will only be considered if there is a documented benefit to patients or a benefit to the NHS whilst maintaining patient care.

Applications cannot be linked to the use of any Nordic Pharma UK products.

What are the criteria used to determine which grants or donations are funded?

Unfortunately, Nordic Pharma UK is not able to support all applications. Please don’t consider any application approved until you receive a signed written agreement from Nordic Pharma UK

Applications will be prioritised in our focus areas:

  • Dry eye management
  • Dental bleeding management
  • Cardiovascular surgery
  • Nutritional management of cystic fibrosis
  • Assisted conception

The following criteria will be considered when assessing each application:

  • Does it support healthcare, scientific research, or education?
  • Does the project/activity provide a benefit to patients or a benefit to the NHS whilst maintaining patient care?
  • Does it meet the UK regulatory requirements of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)?
  • Is it financially possible for Nordic Pharma UK to support the project/activity?
